About SDFO

Sustainable Development Frontline Organization

The Sustainable Development Frontline Organization (SDFO) is a national and local non-governmental organization established in 2011 in LasAnod, Sool Region, Somalia, with a commitment to addressing humanitarian needs and advancing sustainable development among vulnerable and underserved communities.

SDFO was founded in response to the recurring crises affecting Somalia: prolonged drought, food insecurity, displacement and other emergencies that threaten lives, livelihoods and dignity. Since then it has expanded across the Federal Member States, building on local knowledge and community relationships.

We work closely with communities, government institutions, civil society, UN agencies, international NGOs and donors. Our focus is on women, children, young people, displaced families, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. SDFO is registered with the relevant government authorities.
